It's 1997. Imagine stumbling upon a forgotten music hall that had been boarded up since 1938; a time capsule of history with everything left in it's place since the last act nearly 60 years earlier. Welcome to The Britannia Panopticon!
You asked, and we listened-
As part of our post-event feedback form we sent to attendees after the last GSX, it was suggested that we add more non-dance activities related to Glasgow and its cultural history. We had already been talking about this at the first GSX, but decided to make sure the event was viable and worth doing again before adding anything extra.
With the second edition of GSX fast approaching, we're delighted to announce the addition of a historical guided tour of the Britannia Panopticon. Located in the Trongate area of the city centre, The Panopticon has a rich and fascinating history and now remains the oldest surviving music hall in the world!
For only £7, you can add this to your registration and join us for a midday tour to kick off the last day of the event
